- a
love of live music
- the wealth of musical talent and
activity in the
village and surrounding community
- not a
fund raising event. Most events will be free. (although may
be ticketed to control numbers).
WHAT?- mainly
musical
events, with a range of music genres from rock to folk to
classical and more.
- other events eg film show in the
Village Hall, additional stalls at the Saturday Cafe, etc
- integrated
with 3inabar,
PAGE., the Saturday
Cafe, and Church services.
WHERE?
HOW?
- programmes
will be sold, and tickets will be sold for a film
show
in the village hall and a Saturday night gig, and sponsorship sought.
- funds
raised will finance the festival (with some being set
aside
for next year).
- if excess funds are
raised we will make
donations
to the Church and Village Hall
- in
the longer term the festival will have a linked charity to which any
excess income and donations on the weekend will be made. The
charity is Common Ground,
a brilliant organisation which supports local culture - be it music,
food, nature, history, and more.
- other village
fund-raising
efforts can exploit the festival too by selling raffle tickets or
equivalent
